About Us:
Liverpool Association of Match Officials (L.A.M.O) is a group comprising of football referees of all ages and varying levels of experiences that come together on a monthly basis. Our present home is Christ the King Club in Childwall.
Our Values:
Liverpool Association of Match Officials promotes character values in all match officials. The 10 character values chosen by the our members are Courage, Self-control, Honesty, Reliability, Integrity, Courtesy, Respect, Assertiveness, Ambition and Self-Respect.
Our Objectives:
1. The protection and promotion of the interests of its members.
2. To provide instructional faculties for members with the aim of producing a better standard of refereeing.
3. To improve the status of referees by encouraging efficiency, establishing a unity of purpose amongst referees and demonstrating that purpose through the values of the society, as set out in above whenever necessary.
4. To invite the co-operation of or to accept invitations from any organisation interested in the same objects.
5. To provide opportunities for members and guests to meet regularly to promote these objectives and to support each other in a friendly and social manner.
We take these objectives and values very seriously and follow them as our guiding principles.
We are led by a dedicated team of officers and Committee members headed up by Bruce Dixon (President) and Steve Stewart (Chairman). Our monthly SOCIAL EVENINGS offer members chance to enhance their referee development and an effective support network in which officials of all levels can discuss their own refereeing and learn from one another in a relaxed environment. Members development as Match Officials is also greatly enhanced by their exposure to top quality Guest Speakers who visit us each month.
